Our story
FlavorDNA began with a simple question: why do two people love the same dish for completely different reasons? One is there for the char, the other for the acidity. We set out to make that difference legible — and useful.
The result is a model of taste across sweet, salty, sour, bitter, umami, and the aromatics in between. It turns how you experience flavor into a profile you can act on — at the restaurant, the wine shop, or your own stove.
What we believe
- Taste is personal. “Popular” is not the same as “right for you.”
- Discovery should delight. The best recommendation is the one you would never have found yourself.
- Your palate, your data. You own your profile and decide what to share.
The team
We are a small group of food scientists, sommeliers, and engineers who believe dinner should be a little more personal — and a lot more fun.
